As a line dance part of the core heritage of the Levant, Dabka will be celebrated this February in Katara. Discover the Dabka dance through a thrilling selection of conferences,

 

Conference

25 February 2015

05:00 pm - 06:00 pm

Several lecturers to present a conference on

Dabka History.

 

Dabka Street Parade

26 & 27 February 2015

05:00 pm - 06:00 pm

Each day two Dabka bands will be performing an ambulatory show, meeting with the public for interaction, pictures and street live shows.

 

Dabka Wedding

26 & 27 February 2015

05:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Each day a traditional wedding will be played to the audience.

 

Dabka Dance Workshop

26 & 27 February 2015

05:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Two dancers from three countries will be teaching the Dabka dance of their country each day. Every 35 minutes, two dancers of one of the three countries selected for that day will handle the workshop.

 

The Theater Dabka Show

26 February 2015

08:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Ushers welcome guests at the main entrance. MC introduces the first band. The Syrian band performs its first show.

26 February 2015

08:30 pm - 10:30 pm MC presents the Palestinian show as the second performance.

27 February 2015

08:30 pm - 10:30 pm Ushers welcome guests at the entrance. MC introduces the first band. The Jordanian band performs its first show.

27 February 2015

08:30 pm - 10:30 pm MC presents the Lebanese show as the second performance.
